Hourly to Salary Calculator
Turn an hourly rate into a yearly salary and every US pay period, or a salary back into an hourly rate — 40 hours × 52 weeks = 2,080 paid hours is the usual full-time year.
Change the hours and paid weeks to match your job. Pick any pay period next to the amount — the calculator works out all the others.
Questions people ask
How do I convert an hourly wage to a salary?
Multiply the hourly rate by the hours you work in a week, then by the weeks you are paid for in a year. At 40 hours and 52 weeks that is the hourly rate × 2,080. $25 an hour comes to $52,000 a year.
How do I convert a salary to an hourly rate?
Divide the annual salary by hours per week × paid weeks per year. $60,000 ÷ 2,080 hours is about $28.85 an hour.
What is the difference between bi-weekly and semi-monthly pay?
Bi-weekly means every two weeks — 26 paychecks a year. Semi-monthly means twice a month — 24 paychecks a year, so each one is a little larger. Monthly pay is 12 paychecks.
Should I count paid vacation and holidays?
Yes. Paid time off is still paid, so leave weeks per year at 52 unless you take unpaid leave. Only reduce the weeks for time you are not paid for.
Is this before or after tax?
Before tax. Use the after-tax link under the result to open the paycheck calculator with your salary filled in; it subtracts federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare and state income tax.
